Rajan Choudhary (PhD) presented our work on sustainable phosphorus recovery from waste such as sewage and bone meal ash to replace non-renewable raw materials in the production of fertilisers, agrochemicals, and other commodities.

The SINFERT team, led by Dr Kirill Nikitin, UCD School of Chemistry, and co-lead Dr Simon Hodge, UCD School of Agriculture and Food Science, with Societal Impact Champions Peter Mooney (Dawn Meats Group) and Lucas van der Saag (ICL Group), was awarded runner-up funding under the Future Food Systems Challenge.
