What is SINFERT?
Non-aqueous Generation of Soluble Inorganic Phosphate Fertiliser from Solid Agricultural Biowaste for Sustainable Agrifood Systems. We propose an entirely new technology for producing pure phosphate compounds from secondary sources such as sewage sludge and animal/plant ash. The key chemical step, deoxychlorination (DOC), is combined with well-established industrial steps to form a closed-loop operation providing high-grade soluble inorganic phosphate fertilisers.
